Shrewsbury Fair 2006
Saturday 2nd, December, 10am-6pm
|No one could doubt the love of parents for their children judging by the effort being put into preparations for the Shrewsbury Fair by committed mums and dads.
The SPA office is a beehive of activity now that the big event is only hours away. The goal? To make this year's Fair the best ever for the children and the school.
Here's a sample of what the organizers have lined up. A range of incredible rides and favourite challenges: Human "Foosball", Giant Slide, Euro Bungy, 2 Climbing walls for younger and older students, Dunk Win, Gladiator, Racing Track, The Maze, Bouncing Maze, and Bouncing Castle.
As if that were not enough, there are several show-stopping performances and fun entertainment: Dog Show, Magician Show, Acrobat Show, Artist and Art Activities, Santa Photo Spot, Singing, Bands and much more. Music and announcements will be provided over a Yamaha sound system to keep everyone entertained and informed.
The Fair would not be a fair without loads of delicious food and refreshing drinks: Mouth-watering Bar-B-Q from Foodland, Authenitc Pizza from Pizzanotti, German Beer Garden, English Tea Garden, Swensen's and Wall's Ice Cream, Popular Soft Drinks and a seemingly endless variety of international favourites, such as Chinese food, including various types of noodles, Japanese dishes, Indian and Muslim food, Thai food including som tam and gai yang, free cotton candy courtesy of Bangkok Insurance, and a variety of vegetables and fruit from Doi Kam Organic Foods.
Yes, mum and dad will be able to go shopping while the children are playing. Here are a few of the shops that will be open for business on "Bazaar Street": Us, Aussino Bedding products, Books, Cosmetics, shirts and bags of all kind, and flowers and plants, among many more such shops.
There will be a number of special activities and a Convenience Centre for parents with young children. For example, the Creche and Bouncy Castle in an air-conditioned play area for young children in the Lower Gym will enable parents to leave the very little ones in a supervised play area while they get a bite to eat or watch the other children play.
There will be a number of art activities and even Tarot card readings. A great new idea is the activity called "Christmas Secret: No Parents Allowed", where the students can exchange pre-paid vouchers for gifts and have them wrapped while filling out a card for mum or dad, or other friends and loved ones.
There's much more than this available at the Fair. We hope that you will enjoy a day of unforgettable family fun as a preparation for the holidays ahead.
You just can't miss the Shrewsbury Fair? See you there.
